About Us
INTRUDER ALERT SYSTEMS, INC. was founded in 1984. IAS, Inc. started as a residential security systems installing company, but quickly expanded to commercial systems including Security Systems, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, Closed Circuit TV. IAS, Inc. is now a full service security company in both the residential and commercial markets with a name for quality and service. IAS, Inc. has also helped to create our U.L. Listed Central Station here in San Antonio to provide our customers with QUALITY monitoring services LOCALLY.
Michael Samulin is the President and founder of the company. Having taken the company from inception to its current size Mr. Samulin is knowledgeable in all facets of the industry. He has also served twice as President of the Greater San Antonio Alarm Association, Regional Director of the Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, Vice President of the Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, and is currently serving as a Commissioner with the Commission on Private Security, which is a position appointed by the Governor of Texas.
Julio Ramirez is the Vice President of the company, and has worked his way from alarm technician to management with his knowledge of electronics and security. He is a certified NTS Level One and Level Two A technician, licensed residential alarm superintendent, and skilled in all aspects of the security industry.
